Participation Agreement – Akron Canton Builds Interactive Student Experience

Your district has been invited to participate in the Second Annual “Akron Canton Builds Interactive Student Experience” event! 

When: Wednesday, October 16, 2024 or Thursday, October 17, 2024 (Districts may indicate a preference, but Akron Canton Builds appreciates flexibility as we are limited to the number of students we can serve at each session.)  School tours will be scheduled for two hour blocks.

Who: Students in grades 9-12 (Districts may choose target audience. Examples might be students in grade 9 or 10 for exploration, or students in grades 11 or 12 who are not actively participating in a CTE program related to this event.) Please contact us to discuss groups larger than 100 students. 

Where: Summit County Fairgrounds 229 E Howe Rd, Tallmadge, Ohio 44278

What: 15+ Construction Skilled Trades occupations will be represented by local area training centers and local contractors. They will be offering students brief hands-on experiences in an effort to expose them to the wide variety of career options available in these pathways. Students will interact with multiple trades in a 2-hour experience.
