2024 Akron Canton Builds Skilled Trade Expo

When: Wednesday, October 16, 2024 thru Thursday, October 17, 2024
Hours will be from 8:30am-2:30pm both days.
Thursday will be open to the general public from 4:00-7:00pm.
*Set up for the Expo will be Tuesday October 15th, 2024 7:00am-3:00pm
*Break down will be Friday October 18, 2024 7:00am-11:00am
Who: Students in grades 9-12 will be invited.
Last year we had 30 schools and just over 1,000 students.
We will also be promoting the public session on Thursday to adults seeking career opportunities.
Where: Summit County Fairgrounds 229 E Howe Rd, Tallmadge, Ohio 44278
What: Last year this expo brought together 15 Union Apprenticeship centers and 17 contractors & suppliers.
Exhibiting Sponsors operated 35 booths, offering students the chance to observe demonstrations, engage in hands-on activities, converse with industry professionals, and gain valuable insights into careers within the construction industry.
